The launch of the 100th issue of ARQ magazine will take place on Friday, December 21, at 7:00 PM in the FADEU Auditorium. The event will feature commentary from Beatriz Bustos, Director of the Centro Cultural Palacio de la Moneda; Sebastián Gray, architect, columnist, and professor at the UC School of Architecture; and Cristóbal Molina, researcher and coordinator of the Architecture Department at the Ministry of Culture, Arts, and Heritage.
This course explores the possibilities of light as an expressive and artistic medium and as a way to intervene in specific spaces. This seminar is positioned in the South, looking toward the South. It approaches the subject not only through the lens of architects but also through those of a biologist, a sculptor, and a documentarian. Together, they propose methodologies, approaches, processes, and discussions surrounding what is "available," while maintaining a global perspective.
