Six sessions on a monthly basis, presented by international researchers reflecting on some of the protagonists of the Latin American Modern Movement who have developed urban projects for the continent, contributing to the debate on the contemporary urban landscape.
After the first lecture series (October-December 2020), "Roundtrip: From the Seine to the Rio de La Plata" (see more on YouTube Channel ex-momo) on the relationship between Le Corbusier and Argentina starting from the journey of 1929, in this second cycle will deepen the role of the protagonists of the Latin American Modern Movement through the architects - from Berta Zegarra Russo to German Semper, from Luz Amorocho to Lucio Costa - who developed an educational and professional relationship between the two continents.
The aim of these meetings is to reflect on urban projects, whether completed or not, the result of the exchanges of shared modernity between Europe and Latin America. Among the topics: the role of correspondence exchanges / the contribution of women architects / the realization of the urban proposals of the Modern Movement / preservation and enhancement of the heritage resulting from these exchanges.

This pod design aims to achieve comfort for both sides, keeping the family connected, in addition to the main purpose of infection prevention.
Ensuring an appropriate setting and adequate provisions

A group of experts will discuss heritage preservation and its future, focusing on the bill currently under debate in Chile to amend Law No. 17.288. The talk, titled "Heritage Management: Resilient Past/Sustainable Future," is hosted by the Faculty of Architecture and Design at Universidad Finis Terrae and will take place on Tuesday, March 30, at 6:00 PM via Zoom.

a dialogue and experience in Presidente Prudente

This theme will be addressed in five meetings throughout this semester, aimed at the production and improvement of entries in the digital encyclopedia. With the presence of researchers from the Museum, the edit-a-thons will feature discussions on topics such as the construction of gender relations through domestic spaces and objects, as well as the historical transformations that have occurred in Brazilian domestic interiors.

Promoted by the Academic Center of the Architecture and Urbanism program at UFJF (CACAU UFJF), the doCACAU audiovisual program aims to democratize architectural education for the community, integrating cultural and social knowledge as a means of extending learning beyond the university walls. The program includes internal initiatives focused on audiovisual production and architectural dialogues, which are also published on the Academic Center's media channels.

The 2nd Colloquium: Women, City, and Architecture in the Pandemic will take place from March 26 to 27, 2021. Due to the pandemic, it will be a virtual event; however, it maintains the tradition of involving various groups in its organization, a practice initiated by Lab20 PPGAU-UFBA in 2019. This edition is organized by Amar.é.lina, the Observatory of Feminist Studies in Architecture and Urbanism at PPG FAU UnB, making Brasília the host city for this edition.

With an architecture that focuses on social transformation and community building, Giancarlo Mazzanti has established himself as one of the leading Colombian architects today. He will discuss his work and architectural vision in the lecture "Six Strategies for a More Participatory Architecture" this coming Friday, March 26, at 12:00 PM (Chile time). This event will mark the start of the academic year at the Universidad Finis Terrae School of Architecture. The lecture is free and open to the public and will be held via Zoom.
