This proposal combines traditional competitions with free courses taught by industry experts, providing participants with a comprehensive learning experience regarding the competition themes.
São Paulo, 2023 – Registration is now open for the course "Urban Mobility Management – A Path to Smart and Sustainable Cities," offered by the Arq.Futuro Cities Laboratory at Insper, which will take place throughout August and early September. The eight sessions aim to deepen knowledge of urban mobility dynamics, a central theme in policy discussions aimed at ensuring a better quality of life for inhabitants. Commuting alternatives shape the urban experience for everyone—enabling, hindering, or even inhibiting access to and the right to the city.

The competition's goal is to create the first-ever pedestrian bridge on the Han River, specifically transforming the Jamsu submersible bridge beneath Banpo Bridge. Warming Huts + Art Installation
Three teams will be selected as winners of the WARMING HUTS COMPETITION: Arts + Architecture Competition on Ice from submissions of designs for a warming hut or art installation. Winning entries will be placed along the Nestaweya River Trail located on the Assiniboine and Red rivers in Winnipeg, Manitoba. A jury will select the winning designs based on their creativity in use of materials, providing shelter, poetics of assembly and form, integration with the landscape, and ease of construction.
