The goal of this competition is to foster research and the development of academic content in the form of essays. These submissions should provide a historical account and analyze the urban and architectural evolution of the city from its founding to the present day, framed within the various categories established for this competition.

Throughout its history, the Taller Max Cetto has been defined by its reflection on and development of architectural and artistic thought. The Taller hosts various activities, including the "Conversaciones en el Cetto" program, which features lectures by prominent professionals. Previous editions have included architects such as Jorge Ambrosi, Oscar Hagerman, Tatiana Bilbao, Frida Escobedo, Carlos Mijares, Productora, Benjamín Romano, Jorge Yázpik, Isaac Broid, and many others. The 2022-2 cycle will feature Pavel Escobedo, Andrés Solíz, Gustavo López, Luis Young, Isadora Hastings, Javier Sánchez, Daniel Escotto, TO Arquitectura, and Bettina Cetto.

Following the warm reception of the first "The Value of Design" forum last year, the IBERO Design Department is once again presenting its second edition on October 26 and 27, 2022. Design is a discipline that significantly contributes to creating healthier, safer, and happier environments for people through products, services, and experiences that foster social well-being.

In line with the commitment to territorial development in the Atlántico Department, the TECNOGLASS group—a national and international leader in the processing and commercialization of high-quality glass, windows, and facades—has decided to expand its reach in promoting city landmarks through a public art competition. The competition calls for the construction of two monuments aimed at reclaiming spaces in the municipalities of Puerto Colombia and Repelón, in the Atlántico Department. This initiative seeks to contribute to economic reactivation, tourism revitalization, and the strengthening of the inhabitants' sense of belonging.

The Félix Candela Award is an international, two-phase architecture ideas competition conducted in Spanish. It is organized annually by the Spanish Institute of Architecture (IESARQ) and is open to students of architecture, landscape architecture, urbanism, and design, as well as young architects, landscape architects, urbanists, and designers, participating either individually or in teams of two to three members.

MENTES was founded in 2020 with the mission of fostering a sense of community and expanding interpersonal relationships under the direction of Mexican architect Lorenza Sierra. Its philosophy is centered on the idea that every mind is a world of its own, and that world deserves to be shared. The project seeks to develop critical thinking by sparking curiosity in its audience and raising awareness of tools that inform decision-making and new experiences, without being limited by conventional ideals.

Puerta de Oro: Empresa de Desarrollo Caribe and the Colombian Society of Architects invite you to participate in the effort to green the city through the "Design Challenge: Greening the City of Barranquilla" competition.

The Colombian Society of Architects (SCA), aiming to strengthen the promotion of sustainable architecture in Colombia and with the mission of consolidating this effort through concrete incentives, is calling for project submissions for the "2nd Award for Excellence in Sustainable Architecture – Vidrio Andino."

LIGA 36, featuring Isidoro Michan-Guindi, opens on Thursday, March 2, at 7:00 p.m. The event will be held at Laguna, located at Calle Doctor Erazo 176, Colonia Doctores, and is free and open to the public. Key projects will be presented through models in various formats, complemented by a series of images that provide insight into the architect's process through brief glimpses of their studio. The opening will feature a lecture by Michan-Guindi, moderated by Wonne Ickx (Productora + LIGA).

The Architecture Symposium is an event organized by 9th-semester students from the Tecnológico Superior de Jalisco. It is held for both students and alumni, not only from the institute but from the entire architecture community in Puerto Vallarta.
Each year, we have the opportunity to host and engage with prominent figures in architecture from Mexico and around the world. Through a series of lectures, competitions, and workshops, young professionals can deepen their passion for the field, find inspiration, and envision what is possible to achieve within it.

This publication stems from the Fundación FEMSA Chair, which is part of the Master of Architecture and Urban Design (MDU) program. It compiles the results from the 2022 cycle: a research and design approach to the Campana-Altamira District, along with a series of reflections on the core themes explored within the Chair.
