ULMA offers architectural solutions for ventilated facades. Their wide range of cladding panels can be adapted to each project, enabling customized panel cutting and flexible formats. Adaptability, flexibility, cutting-edge aesthetics and great durability are their best advantages.
This fretwork texture enabled the renovation of a classic building, maintaining their appearance, whilst improving energy efficiency. It made it possible to eliminate the vertical and horizontal joints in the design. It may seem like the architects have to reject the latest technical systems such as ventilated facades when renovating classic buildings, but by using customized textures in polymer concrete it is possible.

SHIELD PLUS Technology by ULMA
ULMA panel core is manufactured by molding using a mixture of silica, quartz and basalt aggregates with polyester resins. The polymer concrete panels are protected by a surface shield called SHIELD PLUS which affords extraordinary protection from UV rays and other atmospheric agents.
Its latest generation thermostable resins applied by means of a technology and process which are exclusive to ULMA give the products weather protection which makes them ideal for use in exteriors. The absence of porousness, both of the polymer concrete as well as of the SHIELD PLUS layer means that the maintenance of the façade is limited to easy cleaning periodically with soap and water.
Ventilated Facade Systems
What is a Facade Cladding System?
The ventilated facade is a coating system of the building walls which leaves a ventilated chamber between the coating and the insulation. In the European academic community, it is considered as the most efficient system for resolving the building’s insulation, eliminating the unwanted thermal bridges as well as the condensation problems and so achieving an excellent thermal-hydrometric behavior of the building.
ULMA is committed to recyclable, reusable, non-contaminating and chemically inert material. Optimum for restorations, being endowed with properties that extend the life of the building, promoting Sustainable Construction. The specific features of Polymer Concrete by ULMA, used in the manufacture of their parts, help to create Eco-efficient buildings.
