Kasso specializes in engineered metal façade systems, producing high-performance perforated and shaped aluminium solutions for architectural applications. Sinus-formed perforated aluminium panels from Kasso were used in the adidas Flagship Store Lagos, located in Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria.
The project is a retrofit of a 1970s-era commercial building, redesigned by Oshinowo Studio to serve as a flagship retail destination for adidas. The architectural strategy reinterprets corrugated aluminium sheets—commonly found in Lagos housing—into a refined façade identity suited for a global retail brand. The building’s exterior operates as both a climatic mediator and a cultural gesture, blending local material references with a contemporary commercial presence. Daylight modulation, visibility, and atmospheric lighting were central considerations, allowing the store to maintain comfort while standing out within the vibrant urban context of Victoria Island.

Kasso’s sinus-formed perforated aluminium panel system defines the building’s exterior envelope, providing a lightweight, corrosion-resistant, and weatherproof solution suitable for tropical climates. The wave-shaped geometry, combined with calibrated perforations, diffuses daylight into the store, reduces glare and heat gain, and enables controlled transparency between interior and exterior. LED linear lighting highlights the façade’s sinus rhythm, creating dynamic reflections during the day and a distinctive illuminated texture at night. Durable, recyclable aluminium supports long-term performance with low maintenance requirements, reinforcing both sustainability goals and the expressive branding of the adidas retail environment.
