Alusion is a manufacturer of architectural foam-aluminum panels used to create high-performance, visually distinctive surfaces in contemporary design. Alusion 12.7-MD-1ST panels were selected for the Baker Bleu flagship project in Cremorne, Australia, highlighting the bakery's signature industrial-craft aesthetic.
The Baker Bleu store, designed by IF Architecture, is located in Cremorne, Australia, and represents the third evolution of the brand’s retail format following earlier sites in Hawksburn and Double Bay. With a brief to reflect Baker Bleu’s high-tech baking process and artisan heritage, the design team sought to express both precision and craft through materials, proportion, and form.
The ALUSION 12.7-MD-1ST panels appear on the ceiling, wall and serving counter surfaces to articulate the brand’s industrial-technology narrative while delivering high recycled content (up to 100%) and excellent acoustic performance. The textured panels reference the airy voids of sourdough bread in their visual language, creating a striking contrast with natural timber flooring and warm terrazzo elements, bridging craft and machine in one cohesive interior.
