NEOKEM is a Greek company specializing in the development and production of high-quality powder coatings for aluminum architectural systems and industrial applications, with distribution in more than 25 countries.
For the Villa La Punta project in Naxos, NEOKEM’s 520 Sahara Night powder coating from the Prisma Collection was specified for the aluminum systems.
Designed by Plinthos Architects in collaboration with Stefania Ntinou Architect, the project integrates the powder-coated frames into stone and plaster volumes, ensuring both visual coherence and long-term durability in the island’s coastal climate.

The villa is organized as four cubic volumes surrounding a central courtyard, a configuration inspired by traditional Cycladic settlements. This arrangement protects the interiors from strong winds and sunlight while allowing cross-ventilation and framed views toward the Aegean Sea.
Thick masonry walls, finished in plaster and stone, establish a bioclimatic envelope, while the aluminum frames treated with Sahara Night coating add resilience against coastal exposure and daily use.

The project includes five bedrooms, 5.5 bathrooms, generous living and kitchen areas, and an outdoor pergola structure with kitchen, dining, and lounge spaces. These interior and exterior zones are connected by slim-profile openings that rely on powder-coated aluminum for both visual lightness and mechanical endurance in a demanding environment.
The Sahara Night finish provides resistance to UV radiation, abrasion, and weathering, and it is designed for long-term performance in exposed seaside conditions. Its deep, fine-textured tone creates a subtle contrast with the villa’s white plaster façades and stone elements, while maintaining the clarity of the glazed openings that mediate between indoor and outdoor living.
