The PLUST Collection project was established in 2007 as a euro3plast SpA design brand, a leading manufacturer of traditional pots entirely Made in Italy. Various products from PLUST were used in the garden of a private residence in Sicily, Italy.
Nestled in the heart of Mascalucia, on the southern slopes of Etna, this project aspired to seamlessly blend the modern architecture of the residence with its surrounding luxuriant tropical garden. A central challenge lay in furnishing the expansive green area to create a relaxing and inviting atmosphere reflective of the aesthetic qualities of both the garden and dwelling as well as remain functional, durable, and of high quality for the residents.
The result involved including various furnishings from PLUST’s collection. Designed by Alberto Brogliato, a set of Gumball armchairs, ergonomically shaped and enveloping, combined with its own table with HPL top invite one to relax beside the garden's water mirror.
A walk through the tropical garden leads guests to the Boyo vase, a totemic vase with large shapes that recall natural elements such as a flower. Designed by Michael Breschi, of the Gentle Giants studio, Boyo is a vase with important dimensions, 100x100x90 cm, which conveys a sense of wonder and enchantment, capturing the attention of anyone who approaches it.
Approaching the modern lines of the residence is another set of chairs. Ohla, designed by Alberto Brogliato, small armchairs with comfortable and contemporary lines that are the perfect synthesis of form and functionality to furnish spaces with elegant proportions and contemporary design. Paired with the Ohla armchairs is Enta, a light and easy-to-move coffee table made of polyethylene, designed by Japanese designers Setsu & Shinobu Ito.
Along the paths weaving among tropical flowers and plants, sleek white vases and lamps are strategically positioned, displaying modern design and clean lines. Made of high-quality polyethylene, these furnishings are a perfect example of how plastic can be transformed into functional and design furniture.
The outdoor spaces of the house thus become an ideal place to spend moments of relaxation and conviviality with friends and family. During hot summer days, one can relax under the shade of tropical plants, while in the evening homeowners and guests can enjoy PLUST’s luminous furnishings which have also been incorporated into the project, including the Fade Lamp, designed by Marco Gregori. It is a large lamp with a sculptural presence and a striped surface, which gives a singular effect of light and shadow. Unlit, Fade Lamp is also a furnishing accessory thanks to its special finish that recalls white stone.
Relaxing under the gazebo, residents can illuminate their evenings thanks to the Tebe lamp, designed by Needs Studio. Its classic geometry is revised in a contemporary perspective and characterized by a surface texture that makes it a living object, with a strong material perception, almost as if it were a sculpted stone column. The attention to detail is evident, every element, from the seating to the decorative accessories, has been carefully chosen to create a relaxing and inviting atmosphere.
