More about this product

A Seattle-based wellness company decided it was time to upgrade its offices after working with Graham Baba Architects on several of its branded retail concepts. In this project, FabriTRAK® provides a method for using fabric as an interior architectural finish for walls and ceilings for the recent renovation.

Project Details

The design, which utilizes the top two floors of a new three-story building in Seattle's Eastlake neighborhood, makes the most of the 38,000 total square feet (divided between the two floors) by meeting present space requirements while also providing for growth in the future by reserving the second floor.

Photographer Andrew Giammarco

Building upon the wellness concept, the style uses natural resources and ties to the outdoors to create a welcoming and stylish work environment. With easy access to the external terrace and breathtaking views, the internal space was separated into three sections: a community kitchen/social area, a reception area/general workspace, and private executive offices/boardrooms.

The views, adaptable workstations, and a combination of open and private offices are among the most distinctive aspects. A lot of work went into creating communal workspaces (float) and creating an expansive open area using the items from the pods.

Fabric Wall & Ceiling Finishes

FabriTRAK® fabric finishes were used for walls and ceilings. These not only change the visual ambiance but also have a big effect on acoustic performance within the space. The track is manufactured from a blend of polymers and fire-retardant additives tested to have virtually no VOC emissions. FabriTRAK® is designed to embrace virtually any wall or ceiling space or configuration and the system lends itself to application on undulating walls, portals, or columns.
