The Bolt-On Balcony is a prefabricated aluminum system designed to attach directly to building façades without complex structural extensions. It provides an efficient, visually clean alternative to traditional balconies, resolving common issues such as water intrusion, heavy support requirements, and exposed connection details.
The system is based on BŌK’s patented Plate Truss™ technology, which uses a folded plate design to form a built-in truss structure. This increases strength while reducing the number of parts needed. The balcony connects to the façade through two vertical attachment points that align with existing framing members. By eliminating cantilevered steel, extensive welding, and rod-and-clevis hangers, the Bolt-On Balcony simplifies installation and achieves a minimal, integrated appearance.
