The Grandemare sofa was designed with an eye to understatement, but it is rich in (sometimes hidden) design solutions that reveal its many virtues. It is a clustering of geometric shapes – that is nonetheless soft and entirely free of sharp corners – that rest on a cowhide-upholstered wood platform. Tone-on-tone or contrasting color grosgrain piping enhances the seat, armrest, and seat back upholstery. An epoxy-powder-coated metal perimeter frame set back from the edges of the cowhide-clad platform gives the Grandemare sofa the appearance of floating.
