Longboard® fire safe architectural products are made from light-weight extruded aluminum and are easy to install either in the factory or for on-site construction.
Longboard® Dauntless baffles are considered by the International Building code (IBC) to be a decorative architectural feature rather than a ceiling by the since it is not connected to the walls on all four sides. The ASCE 7 recommendation is that decorative architectural components and their supports are designed and installed in the same manner as acoustical suspended ceilings.
