Perched on the spectacular Victorian coastline in Australia's south, this expansive home is nestled into a bushland setting. The rugged beauty of the site created a unique set of challenges for the design of the building exposed to salt-spray, harsh UV radiation and located in a bushfire zone. The cladding needed to be a strong, durable and high performing product that also allowed the house to compliment it's natural setting.

The designers chose DECO's DecoClad solid aluminium cladding in a 'Weathered Timber' powdercoated timber-look finish. The result is a building that sympathically blends in to the landscape but provides a high degree of protection and durability. The solid aluminium cladding also satisfies the BAL40 fire zone rating. The DecoClad ‘V-Groove’ profile from DECO offers a product that blends in to the landscape but provides a high degree of protection and durability. The solid aluminium cladding also satisfies the fire zone rating and the Super Durable DecoWood finish provides adequate protection against salt spray and UV rays.
