Lansdown House in Cambridge is a new contemporary styled house that sits within a heritage context featuring a historic church and period buildings. During the building permit process, it was determined by the planning authority that a natural slate roofing material must be used. CUPA 12 from Cupa Pizarras was chosen for the 300sqm roof as it was beautiful and cost effective. It allowed the designer to meet the planning requirements for natural slate while maintaining the sleek contemporary look of the new house.
The builder suggested the use CUPA 12 as they had prior experiences working with the product and had found it to be high quality, value for money and with a consistent size and thickness that made it easy to work with.
