More about this product
Goppion designs, develops and builds display cases and museum installations. The company works with curators and exhibit designers to develop solutions to individual projects with a collaborative approach.
F-class display cases are frame cases for paintings with high airtightness with various opening mechanisms to choose from. Built to the work’s dimensions; the case is set behind the frame, rendering it invisible.
| ||Opening Mechanism ||Description |
|Fv1 type – Frame case ||Manual removal ||It can only be opened from the rear once taken off the wall. Suitable for smaller works (due to weight) |
|Fv2 type – Frame case ||Single leaf rotation on a vertical axis ||The front of the display case can pivot open on hinges. Magnetic gaskets replace the mechanical compressors present in the double-leaf version. Security performance is unaffected. |
|Fv3 type – Frame case ||Multiple leaves opened by rotation on a vertical axis || |
Rotating the case enables the rear of the painting to be inspected without opening the airtight compartment. Both the front and rear leaves can be opened to access the work.
This is the most technologically advanced version of the F-Class case with extremely high conservation and security performance and enables the painting to be examined closely from both sides without having to open the case, altering the microclimate. It is firmly fixed to the wall and protected by steel plates on all four sides, rendering the mechanical parts and wall anchoring inaccessible.
Goppion uses ecologically-correct methods and makes efforts to use sustainable materials as well as research new materials and manufacturing processes with low environmental impacts. Goppion designs cases to last over time to reduce the need for replacement and recycling of industrial products.
