CFA was born in 1978 with the acquisition of the company J.CAMUS, and transformed into a real entity in 1999, through mergers and acquisitions. In 2006, CFA became a division of NSA (Nouvelle Société d'Ascenseurs), a member of the American group UTC® (United Technologies Corporation), alongside subsidiaries such as Otis, Carrier, Chubb, Pratt & Whitney, and Sikorsky.
