re:arc institute invites you to join the second iteration of their biannual symposium program dedicated to exploring the architectures of planetary well-being, which we understand as ongoing practices of custodianship and care towards our socio-ecological environments. Architectures of planetary well-being offer an approach to understanding the frameworks that connect these systems, in turn allowing us to imagine the relational change needed to move beyond extractive paradigms.
Today, most architects are used to the complex workflow of using multiple tools during the design process. These traditional legacy tools can be bulky and slow, hamper creativity, and often do not talk to each other nor let architects collaborate with their teams. This limits their ability to design, as they spend most of their time getting 3D models BIM-ready.
Snaptrude is aiming to solve these issues by establishing itself as a powerful, browser-based, collaborative 3D design tool. It combines smart, parametric modeling, live building information, easy real-time collaboration and strong interoperability with BIM tools like Revit. Below, a comprehensive list of how these features can make 3D modeling easier.
Collaboration challenges happen in any construction project; with so many stakeholders and disciplines needing to be heard, agreeing on something and making it happen can be mired in delays, misalignment, and frustration. For architects, one of the greatest challenges involves dealing with inconsistent or lengthy inter-team workflow processes, overburdened staff and worries over litigation risks. It results in duplications, needless delays, and unclear communications, all of which risk the most important asset any architecture firm has: its reputation.

WORKSPACE EXPO "The international Workspace Projects & Design Solutions Exhibition” is the only event in Egypt & Middle East specialized for showcasing the latest mega administrative & workspace projects with recent unique design solutions in a business environment
The inspiration behind the name "游人如織" (Interweaving Travelers) is derived from a Chinese idiom, symbolizing the countless travelers as intricately woven pieces of brocade, layer upon layer. The exhibition's concept expands upon this metaphor with the aim of exploring the interconnectivity and complexity of global mobility. Especially in the post-pandemic era, as people once again regain the "freedom" to move, this exhibition, on the one hand, examines the co-constructive relationship between mobility and contemporary globalization, and, on the other hand, seeks to critically reexamine the fundamental essence of "mobility," exploring its potential to transcend national governance, geopolitical conflicts, and the influence of capitalist expansion.
Japanese art has an allure that transcends time, from the resplendent beauty of paintings on golden screens to the elegant lines of ikebana flower arrangements. In modern times, new technologies are revolutionizing our engagement with these art forms. High-precision replicas of precious paintings can be created, allowing the originals to be safely preserved, while still being accessible to the public. Meanwhile, contemporary artists are using technology to express traditional Japanese artistic concepts in novel ways. At this talk, Frank Feltens, Curator of Japanese Art at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of Asian Art, and Japanese new media artist and Professor of Kyoto University Naoko Tosa, creator of Sounds of Ikebana, examine the applications of technology in the world of Japanese art today. Moderated by Monika Bincsik, Diane and Arthur Abbey Curator for Japanese Decorative Arts at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

We live in an increasingly urbanized world. Housing, hospitals, schools, and roads –the foundations of everyday life– require strong, durable materials. The AEC (Architecture, Engineering, and Construction) industry therefore relies heavily on cement, the main component in concrete, to build these elements. Yet for architects, the versatility and resistance of concrete don’t always go hand in hand with sustainability credentials.

The series Non-Structures presents London –and cities in general– as a spectacle of constant conflict, negotiation and flux. Capturing key moments in the life of diverse buildings, the images reveal a condition of transience, trapped as these buildings and sites are between the boundaries of architecture and ruin, planning and chance, process and product. The term Non-Structures alludes to anthropologist Marc Augé’s influential work Non-Places; this boundary condition, defined by an absence of identity, has lent its name to the series.

Upholstery is at the heart of every living space, providing comfort both physically and visually. It’s the basis for an interior to grow and evolve, setting the tone for a wider 360-degree landscape. To create a truly dynamic foundation, it usually takes a few different sofas or armchairs, but pairing them up to create the desired harmony between color, texture, form and function can be a challenge without experiencing them side by side in space.
