Architects, not Architecture | VWT Brazil Edition with Marcio Kogan and Cristiane Muniz

After an amazing response to the first Virtual World Tour, during the peak of the pandemic in late 2020 early 2021, we decided to continue our global digital approach to connect the architectural community on a personal level. From October 13th until December 8th, 2021 we will be hosting five events for the first half of our new Virtual World Tour. This year we will visit Hong Kong, Brazil, Japan, The United States, Turkey and Canada, where we have invited two architects respectively to tell us about their biographies, anecdotes and events that have shaped their architectural positions and personalities.

browngrotta arts is pleased to announce its forthcoming exhibition, Japandi: shared aesthetics and influences, exploring common approaches shared between Japanese and Scandinavian cultures through contemporary art. The show will feature 39 fiber and ceramic artists from Denmark, Finland, Japan, Norway, and Sweden.

Exhibition: MIRALLES. At the School

Titled MIRALLES. A l'Escola, the fifth and final exhibition in the tribute cycle to Enric Miralles highlights his academic work as a professor at the Barcelona School of Architecture (ETSAB). This significant facet of the architect's career is poorly documented, despite its international impact, as Miralles served as a professor, visiting lecturer, and speaker at prominent universities worldwide.

Course: "Strategies and Technical Assistance for Social Interest Housing"

Objective: To expand knowledge regarding housing policies and strategies for Technical Assistance for Social Housing (ATHIS).
Target Audience: Professionals and graduates who wish to act as agents of social transformation in projects that promote the right to the city and to housing.

Nordic: future legacy

The inspiration that the masters of modern architecture in Sweden, Finland, Denmark, and Norway drew from their places of origin, combined with the experience they gained during their travels around the world, sparked a radical shift in history known as Nordic Architecture.

4th How Are We Doing Cities Forum: Call for entries extension

The Ciudades Cómo Vamos Forum is a space for discovery and discussion regarding the present and future of cities, promoted by Lima Cómo Vamos. Its objective is to share approaches, evidence, and proposals concerning the country's cities, and to facilitate the dissemination of multi-stakeholder efforts aimed at improving urban areas in Peru.
