A solo exhibition by Russian artist Katerina Kovalena presents large-scale installations crafted from parachute fabric at Parque Glória Maria, in Santa Teresa.

Pequena África is a space of singular significance, where culture, memory, and resistance intertwine along every path and within every evolving narrative. This territory has established itself as a bastion of Afro-Brazilian heritage, serving as a benchmark in the construction of Brazilian identity. To enhance its visibility, the Brazilian Development Bank (BNDES) is launching the BNDES Pequena África Competition, open to national and international participants. This represents a historic opportunity for recognition and reparation, ensuring that the memory of the formation of the Brazilian people is preserved and celebrated.

Focusing on landscape design and sustainability, the MPAP trains professionals capable of critically addressing contemporary environmental, territorial, and urban challenges.

The expansion of the Sesc network and the development of new facilities at Sesc Mogi das Cruzes have prompted a National Preliminary Architectural Design Competition. Promoted by the Social Service of Commerce (Sesc SP) and organized by the Institute of Architects of Brazil – São Paulo Department (IABsp), the competition aims to select the best architectural project submitted by architects and urban planners. The project involves the creation of a new "Park Unit" near the center of Mogi das Cruzes, on a flat site surrounded by natural areas and the São Paulo Green Belt, with views of the Serra do Itapeti.

About the lecture:

"'Transcendence' (defined in at least three ways) will be presented as the purest function of architecture. Contemporary phenomenological and scientific methods will be used to examine the relationship between the mind and materiality, as revealed in significant architectural experiences. Through this discussion and various examples, we will realize that, for the first time in history, we can begin to consider and concretely address the most important and timeless questions of architecture and, perhaps, of human existence. — Julio Bermudez"

The Abierto Mexicano de Diseño is an international festival that annually gathers and celebrates the design community in Mexico in all its breadth within a single geographic point: the Historic Center of Mexico City. The Colegio de Arquitectos de Chile is celebrating another anniversary with a series of free, fully online events. ICOMOS, the International Council on Monuments and Sites, is a global non-governmental organization associated with UNESCO. Its mission is to promote the conservation, protection, use, and enhancement of monuments, urban centers, and sites. ICOMOS serves as an advisory body to the World Heritage Committee for the implementation of the UNESCO World Heritage Convention.
