The Architect profession demands that we master many skills, and knowing how to communicate architectural spaces through drawings and images is a crucial one.

Entelechia is a contest that focuses its attention on graphic research in Architecture, through reflections and themes that emerge from the life and work of the great Florentine poet.

COMPETITION INFORMATION
For the 2021 Chicago Prize, the Chicago Architecture Center and the Chicago Architectural Club call for new visions for the State of Illinois Center/James R. Thompson Center.

The City is launching the Sea2City Design Challenge (Sea2City) to help inform a framework and vision to guide urban development and ecological revitalization in Vancouver’s False Creek floodplain, a highly valued and constrained urban waterway in the heart of the city. Berlin is a city with a complicated past, from the ravages of World War II to the division of the city by the infamous Berlin Wall from 1961 to -1989. Despite being one of the most exciting and vibrant cities in Europe, Berlin is severely lacking in affordable housing, making it less accessible to live in than many of its smaller counterparts across Germany.

Whether act of God or a superior force, our society responds to and prepares for Force-Majeure scenarios on many different scales. It has become increasingly obvious in the past year that disasters, both natural and human-made, exacerbate inequities in our society by unequally limiting access to healthcare, green spaces, fresh food, transportation, and education for our most vulnerable populations. Strengthening our communities allows us to be more resilient in the face of future Force Majeure scenarios. How can we as design professionals help support and provide care for the most vulnerable groups of people in our society?

The World Monuments Fund/Knoll Modernism Prize recognizes outstanding achievements in saving buildings emblematic of the groundbreaking modern movement that swept across the globe during the twentieth century. World Monuments Fund (WMF) established the biennial award in 2008 with founding sponsor Knoll to honor individuals and organizations that have revitalized modern built heritage through innovative architectural solutions. This year, the prize will recognize a project showcasing excellence in environmental sustainability and preservation that has a positive economic and community impact. The deadline for submissions is June 15, 2021 at 5:00 pm EDT.

Art Park Nikola-Lenivets (Russia, Kaluga region) announces an international competition for the best concept of an art object for Maslenitsa 2022. Artists, architects, designers, directors, programmers and all creative people are invited to participate. The winner's prize — 100,000 rubles (including taxes). The deadline for applications is June 6.

ARKxSITE is pleased to announce the ‘SITE SHELTER’ international architecture ideas competition for architecture and landscape architecture students and young professionals with a degree in architecture studies or landscape architecture studies (≤ 40 years old).

The LEGENDARY BIRD HOME 2021 competition is the second in a planned series of competitions looking to raise awareness for the global environmental crisis. This competition will be a collaboration with Birdly - a socially-responsible startup that aims to support environmental activism worldwide through funds raised by selling bird homes.
