The Student Annual Architecture Models + Artifacts (S.A.A.M.A.) exhibit is a collaborative design exhibition that focuses on architecture student model work. It is an annual exhibition that catalogs a curated publication of the best physical models that architecture students have made across North America. This is a call to all hardworking architecture students to submit images of their models to be reviewed by the Curatorial Practices Team at KSU-Arch (Kennesaw State University) and publish a catalog of the best work that you have to offer in a digital exhibition.

In this difficult time, Penta Real Estate is inviting local and foreign architects and architectural studios to participate in an open, international architectural and urban design competition. The aim of the competition is to find the best solution to complet the residential block in the western part of Prague's Vysočany. The scope of the project should be at least 280 residential units together with the amenities of commercial or non-commercial purpose (respectively 24,200 square meters of gross floor area).
It is two round competition. The first round is open, it is qualifying. In order to participate in it, please first register and then hand over the portfolio - max. 9 pages. Applicants will indicate their previous experience, references and the overall concept of the proposal.

The vision for the project is to build unique, modern and racy duplex apartments compound in Dahran city, Saudi Arabia. Our main goal is to create different living experience for our tenants by providing duplex units along with many other facilities (Parking, Gardens, Kids play areas, recreational areas…etc) and to provide enjoyable and private daily life.

How can innovation, architecture and design protect us from pandemics? This competition is an invitation to come up with innovative proposals capable of responding to the health crisis we are going through and those we may encounter tomorrow.

Kaohsiung Museum of Fine Arts (hereinafter referred to as KMFA) is going to budget 195 million NTD for its “Transformation & Rebirth——Exterior Renovation Project of Kaohsiung Museum of Fine Arts.” The Museum looks forward to creative proposals from outstanding domestic or foreign architectural teams, based on a “Coronation” concept to strengthen the function of museum’s roof, solve the substantive issue of roof leakage, and endow it with a new image with aesthetic quality by “retrofit” or “facelift” solutions.

Today an estimated 900 million people are confined to their homes in 35 countries worldwide. With the world reverting to home working a global-scale experiment is in full swing, one which instantly asks us to reconsider not only the space of the office, but rather the home and its role within our contemporary society and us, its citizens. For the last few decades architecture has continuously challenged the space of the office allowing for alternative models to emerge. In the last decade alone we have witnessed the rise and advent of co-working and of the campus. In 2019 an estimated 2,188 spaces were opened worldwide with projections set for more than 20,000 in 2020 and 25,968 by 2022, rather than catering only to small business, large corporations like Amazon, AirBnB, and Google also make use of these for meetings and events. On the other hand structures such as googleplex and apple park exist as buildings with a footprint of 260,000 square meter which house more than 12,000 employees.

Floating hotels? Houses under bridges? Plug and play retail? Detachable aircraft pods?!

Do you think of crazy (read: ridiculous) ideas but brush them off? DON'T! If you love radical disruptions in the built environment, this project is for you. The Radical Design Project (RDP) is intended to be a collection of innovative ideas that trigger design thinking and, hopefully, generate fresh perspectives for the built environment.

This announcement is hereby issued for the International Competition for Urban Design of Huanggang Port Area at Shenzhen Park of Shenzhen-Hong Kong Science and Technology Innovation Cooperation Zone. Excellent design agencies at home and abroad are invited to join. We desire to solicit the most creative design scheme with the international vision and high standards.

The Uyuni Salt Flat Shelter contest seeks a re-encounter with nature and with the human being within solitude Acceleration, instantaneousness, immediacy, technologization ... The daily life of the human being has been subsumed under synchronous devices such as watches and mobile phones, generating a stressed society, which has lost all trace of its biological temporality and of its life in common with the middle. Here in the salar, all the technology disappears. All computerization is not possible. Can a project promote other ways of life that are more leisurely, relaxed and in relation to nature? Can architecture give us the possibility of making up for that lost time? A time in dialogue with nature What is the basis for doing this type of architecture?

DI-2020 stands for Design and Innovation in 2020. The design competition is open to both concept projects, as well as realized projects by young design and tech professionals worldwide. International Talent Competition DI-2020 is about finding and celebrating talent that blurs boundaries between design, tech and business.

CODE - COmpetitions for DEsigners - and the Municipality of Castelfranco Emilia launch FOOD ACADEMY LOGO, a call for ideas to design the logo for a high-level hub for food culture in the enchanting Villa Sorra. The winners will be selected by a jury made of renowned professionals with the likes of Ale Giorgini, Armando Milani, Alberto Moreu, Tanino Liberatore, Giovanni Avosani. A total cash prize of € 2,000 will be awarded to the winning projects.

Architecture in Transformation should respond to contemporary challenges and changes. What concerns us primarily is the relationship between architecture and city, as well as the one between architecture and natural environment. The competition aims at searching and constructing human space with a Spirit of Place in the increasingly fragmented cities and unordered villages, exploring environment-friendly and sustainable ideas in the information age, and integrating creative concepts with solid basic skills in architectural design. The competition requires the participants to make detailed insights and reflections on architectural development, explore complicated demands of the people nowadays for architecture and environment, pay attention to specific sites and the events happening in them, and configure viable and dynamic urban and architectural spaces, at the same time seek suitable techniques to guarantee the possibility of implementation of the project.
