UIA 2030 Award - 2nd cycle, official poster
The International Union of Architects, in collaboration with UN-Habitat, has announced the launch of the second cycle of the UIA 2030 Award. This biennial award promotes the work of architects contributing to the delivery of the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development together with the New Urban Agenda.
The first cycle of the award gathered 125 projects from 40 countries and the final results were announced on 28 June 2022 in Katowice, Poland, during the World Urban Forum (WUF11).

The Basque Country Architecture Institute and Arc en Rêve Centre d'Architecture, with the support of the Department of Territorial Planning, Housing and Transport of the Basque Government, have announced the first edition of the European Collective Housing Award. This new award aims to highlight the value of collective housing as a cornerstone of the architectural heritage of an entire continent, and to promote innovation, inclusion and environmental responsibility in its design. Submissions are now being accepted until 7 May, 2024.
The aim is to showcase the architecture of collective housing constructions and their positive impact on society, while raising awareness of the importance of housing policies and their constant renewal. The European Collective Housing Award thus aims to generate a critical debate about housing, the right to quality domestic, everyday architecture, while also proclaiming the value of European-style collective housing, with a richness, diversity and multiplicity of options once more serving as the best possible tool to revitalize cities, policies and generational aspirations.

The competition seeks to identify an innovative architectural practice to design a public pavilion for the Devonshire Gardens development in Cambridge. Following the assessment of an open Expression of Interest, 4 to 5 practices will be invited to proceed to the ideas phase of the competition. The Trieste Contemporanea Committee is pleased to announce the 15th edition of its International Design Contest. Participation is open, without charge, to professionals from Central Eastern Europe. Besides the Award Ceremony for the winning designs, a number of projects selected by the panel of judges will be exhibited at Trieste Contemporanea and an exhibition catalogue will be published online.
