United We Dream and Black Lives Matter

On Saturday, February 26, United We Dream and Black Lives Matter: Houston will debut Move Into the Future, a public art sculpture and pop-up experience at Emancipation Park to honor Black History Month, celebrate Black and brown youth power, and build alliances in our local community.

The installation, designed by Wyatt Closs, includes portraits of immigrant youth in Texas who are fighting for justice and liberation for all people of color and advancing the fight for immigrant justice as racial justice. The installation also incorporates artwork from additional artists including Mer Young, Tatyana Fazlalizadeh and Alex Arzu. It will be open to the public from February 26 to May 17.
