Tour a Parkade with Us ('s more than a parkade!)

Tour a Parkade with Us ('s more than a parkade!)

How can we design to meet today’s demand for parking in our city, while designing in enough flexibility to adapt to how we might get around in five- or ten-years’ time? We invite you to tour an innovative new building in East Village: a parkade that is designed to adapt to different uses over time.

We'll hear from Calgary Municipal Land Corporation's President & CEO Kate Thompson and Joanne Sparks, an Architect at Kasian, about the planning and design of this new parkade. In conversation with d.talks Membership (mx) Committee Chair and Architect at Zeidler, Sukhpreet Kaur.

Untold City is a virtual tour series started by d.talks Members Committee (called mx), a committee working to advance design experiences for d.talks members. Exploring the design, history, and uses of a unique building within our city, Untold City tours reveal the weird, the wild, and the uncanny that make up the urban fabric of our city. You won’t find these places in a guidebook. Only the locals know. We’ll take you inside.

Please note that this Untold City tour is online, free, and open to the public.
