ECO SOLIDARITY

The second edition of ECO Solidarity returns at CLOSEUP 2021 presented by ICFF + WantedDesign Manhattan. Eight visionary designers, chosen by eight European Union National Institutes for Culture (EUNIC), will share products and projects that address the imperative need for human-centered, sustainable design in response to humanitarian and public health crises.

The presentations will occur on May 18th during two 45-minute morning sessions followed by panel discussions. The first session “Design with Empathy: Public Spaces and Social Impact” will take place at 10:05 AM EST while the second session “Sustainable Material and Process: Research and Innovation” will take place at 10:45 AM EST. Registration to attend either or both sessions is available through the following link: https://bit.ly/3dqXTRo. The inspiring movement was initiated in 2020 by the Polish Cultural Institute New York and Tomek Rygalik of Studio Rygalik in partnership with WantedDesign. A two-month long exhibition presented by WantedDesign will follow from June 15–August 15, 2021 on WantedDesignnyc.com.
