STUDIO FIRST

STUDIO FIRST is a five-week online summer studio in architectural design and portfolio preparation for students with a non-architecture background who are considering graduate studies in architecture, urban design, or landscape architecture.

Dates for 2021 Sessions:
May 19 to June 24 – online
July 21 to August 26 – online

STUDIO FIRST provides a post-baccalaureate “bridge” from an undergraduate degree in any field toward entrance into a three-year accredited professional degree in architecture. The main goal is for participants to generate portfolio material appropriate for application to graduate studies in architecture, urban design, or landscape architecture. Architecture is well-suited to people from diverse disciplines, from visual arts and engineering to geography and the humanities. STUDIO FIRST will immerse students in studio culture and help them determine if architecture is the right path to follow. The cost is considerably lower than comparable programs in the United States.
