Screening + Discussion: Let's Talk About ... Making Room

PUSH is a film about housing and affordability. Filming Leilani Farha, the UN Special Rapporteur on Adequate Housing over two years, the director notes that “words like gentrification are not sharp enough at describing the issue.”

Housing has become the front line defense against the corona virus. Home has rarely been more of a life or death situation.

– Leilani Farha, United Nations Special Rapporteur on the Right to Adequate Housing

Discussion: Tuesday August 4 6:00 - 8:00pm

If housing is a right, what’s the path to a more equitable city that houses all? How do diversity and mixed housing options coexist within a neighborhood? Join the Calgary Public Library in partnership with d.talks, for a discussion about housing, inclusion, and the challenges to making the room so that everyone has a stable roof.
