Update: The deadline for submissions has been extended to November 23rd, 2015. The new date of the exhibition, in which the winners will be announced, is scheduled for December 3rd, 2015.

Launch of the international competition "Put in...your ideas!" for the design of a sustainable piece of furniture.
It's possible to participate until November 3rd 2015. The Associations Intubando, Itaca, LAN_Laboratorio di Architetture Naturali, Metriquali and Palo Futura advertise the international competition "Put in...your ideas!" for the design of a piece of furniture for the outdoor of the Urban Laboratory Rigenera in Palo del Colle (Italy).

The competition is part of the project Ma.Te.Ri.A. - Materials and Techniques of Reuse for the Self-building, funded by the program "Laboratori Urbani - Mettici le mani" of the Region of Apulia.
Ma.Te.Ri.A. is an experimental project planned by the Intubando Association, in collaboration with LAN and Metriquali, to meet the infrastructural improvement requirements of the Rigenera Lab.
The project consists of a rich offer of Planning and Sustainable Self-building participatory processes, study of materials and experimentation of workings in an innovative way.
Thanks to the development of the formative theoretical and practical activities of the partecipative planning and materials Labs, the works for the structural development of the laboratory will in fact be realized, so as to allow full use of it to the whole community.
Then, the ideas competition is part of the project by contributing to the design of the structures which will then be implemented in the following months in self-construction.
The announcement, published in italian, english and spanish, is open to students, architects, designer, artists, and adults who are not included in the previous category but who have experience or interest in design and self-construction, Italians and foreigners. The object to be realized will have to be made from one or more materials which will be processed during the workshops: plastic (through the use of the 3D printer), bamboo, steel, wood and papercrete.
The winning project, besides being published in trade magazines and major websites of architecture and design, will receive a prize of € 700, offered by the Palo Futura Association.
The jury will be composed of industry experts, from Bioarchitettura Onlus, O.A.P.P.C. of Bari, INBAR and international architecture ateliers.
More information is provided in the announcement, downloadable from the section concorso (competition) of the website www.materiarigenera.com
