The international festival of city making returns for Part 2 of its Ten Years Edition after a successful event in Rotterdam last May.
Over two days, the festival will bring together architects, developers, urban practitioners, community organisers, policymakers and people working in and around cities to look at some of the questions increasingly shaping urban life: who gets to make cities, how existing spaces and infrastructure can be used differently, what climate change means for public space and mobility, and how citizens can claim greater agency over the places in which they live.
The premise is deliberately broad. Cities are not made by architects and planners alone. Infrastructure, investment, and real estate shape them; museums and libraries, bars and cafés, public toilets and civic squares; transport and food systems; and, ultimately, the people who use them all.
The programme begins at the other end of the architectural spectrum.
