Titled 'Leisure' and held as part of the Architectural Culture Lecture Series [CCCA] at EA USS, architects Juan Ignacio Cerda [ELEMENTAL] and Sebastián Cuevas will discuss program and leisure in architecture, including their spaces, users, specific characteristics, and their relationship with the city. On this occasion, the architects will present the Bicentennial Children's Park and the initiative for the creation of pocket plazas, respectively. Additionally, the panel will be moderated by Mario Marchant, a professor at USS/UCh and director of Materia Arquitectura magazine.
The 2018 autumn edition of the series focuses on the theme of “program.” Although often taken for granted, both the definition of this term and its impact on a project can encompass countless interpretations and variations. This edition of the Architectural Culture Lecture Series [CCCA] explores various practices and projects through this lens, aiming to reflect their overlooked complexity.
