The transition from the modern to the contemporary city presents the challenges surrounding mobility and mobility systems as one of its most significant issues. These topics are being critically re-examined within the debate and disciplinary production of urban and territorial planning, urbanism, and architecture.
The course adopts the theme of mobility—understood and explored through the lenses of structure, form, and landscape—as the central subject and axis for inquiry, investigation, experimentation, and methodological, conceptual, theoretical, and practical proposition. It also focuses on accessibility, its requirements, urban-territorial consequences, and reciprocal socio-environmental and political-economic implications.
