The Armando Alvares Penteado Foundation (FAAP) is hosting the "Reciprocal Timber Structures" workshop from May 2 to 11. The workshop will be led by Swiss architect and designer Udo Thönnissen, who has authored several books and articles on the subject.
Spanning 40 hours, the workshop aims to introduce timber construction concepts and technologies not yet implemented in Brazil, highlighting the material's potential as a high-tech resource. To this end, the expert will combine theoretical content with practical sessions, where participants will develop designs and produce and assemble timber components to be reviewed as a group.
