The 2019 International Social Workshop (TSI) is being held as part of the Microcoast construction workshop in Máncora, the coastal tourism capital of the Piura region. It is organized by the Peruvian Organization of Architecture Students in collaboration with the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism at the National University of Piura, which is accredited by the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA).
Máncora is a tourist town in the Piura region, located on the northwest coast of Peru. It is known for Máncora beach, where large waves attract surfers. Avenida Piura, the town's main street, is lined with restaurants and cafés, while local bars fuel the lively nightlife. To the southeast of the town lie the mud baths and thermal springs of La Poza de Barro, and the coastal waters are visited by migrating whales.
