Romano Guerra Editora (São Paulo, Brazil) and Nhamerica Platform (Austin, USA) present the Pensamento da América Latina (Latin American Thought) collection, coordinated by Abilio Guerra, Fernando Luiz Lara, and Silvana Romano Santos, with Fernanda Critelli serving as editorial coordinator. The collection provides texts on Latin American architectural culture in both print and ebook formats, available in Portuguese, English, and Spanish—the most widely used languages in the Americas.
Lelé: Dialogues with Neutra and Prouvé, the latest title in the collection, features André Marques’s research on the work of João Filgueiras Lima (Lelé). The book establishes relationships between the Brazilian architect’s design strategies and those of French builder Jean Prouvé and Austrian architect Richard Neutra, with a particular focus on the technological aspects of serial production and environmental concerns.
The virtual launch, featuring André Marques, Abilio Guerra, Fernando Lara, Fernanda Critelli, Paulo Bruna, and Rafael Perrone, with an opening by Angélica Benatti Alvim, will take place on Monday, November 30, 2020, at 7:00 PM. The event will be broadcast live on the FAU Mackenzie YouTube channel at the following link: https://bit.ly/2VjJQoR.
