The exhibition "Transmutation: Alchemy and Resistance" presents recent and previously unseen works by Marcela Cantuária, one of the most prominent figures in the contemporary visual arts scene, at the Paço Imperial. Curated by Aldones Nino with curatorial assistance from Andressa Rocha, the show features approximately 20 works by the Rio-based artist, who has not held a solo exhibition in Rio de Janeiro for five years. The exhibition is presented by the Federal Government, the Ministry of Culture, the Government of the State of Rio de Janeiro, and the Rio de Janeiro State Secretariat of Culture and Creative Economy, through the Paulo Gustavo Law.
