The program’s third edition will be led by DJ GrandMaster Raphael, a pioneer of funk parties, joined by MC Cidinho, MC Mascote, MC Cacau, and Duda do Borel.
The program includes a DJing workshop and a performance by Grupo Corre, representatives of the “passinho carioca” movement, set amidst a selection of sculptures from the museum’s collection by prominent artists such as Maria Martins, Alfredo Ceschiatti, and Bruno Giorgi.
On March 22, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, an old-school favela funk party featuring major names in Rio funk will energize the outdoor areas of the Rio de Janeiro Museum of Modern Art (MAM Rio). The third edition of the year’s “Super Sábados no MAM Petrobras” program, held in partnership with the Agência de Notícias das Favelas (ANF), invites DJ GrandMaster Raphael and MCs Cidinho, Mascote, Cacau, and Duda do Borel to celebrate the favela as a territory of cultural wealth, resistance, entertainment, and income generation.
