Workshop "Smart Cities for Ordinary Citizens" at the XXI Chile Architecture Biennial

The concept of Smart Cities has become a recurring theme in visions of the city of the future. But what about the average citizen? If we ask acquaintances or passersby, very few have heard of the topic.

Accordingly, this workshop seeks to collectively identify ideas and perceptions regarding the "intelligence" of certain "smart" urban artifacts. The discussion will not focus on the supply of products and technology, but rather on the perspective of the inhabitants, their needs, aspirations, and resources. The goal is to develop a collective cartography of "urban intelligence" that bridges "expert" and "everyday" perspectives.
