On Tuesday, February 27, at 11:30 AM, JUNJI will present the book "469 New Kindergartens: Innovative Architecture for Quality Education" in the main hall of the Centro Cultural Palacio La Moneda. From that day through Friday, March 2, a photography exhibition featuring 53 of these architectural works will also be on display.
The book, published by Ediciones de la JUNJI, documents the efforts to expand public early childhood education coverage during the second administration of President Michelle Bachelet. This initiative resulted in the construction of 469 new facilities by JUNJI, which, together with Fundación Integra, provide a total of 70,000 spots for children aged 0 to 4.
Notably, out of the country's 346 communes, JUNJI built at least one new facility in 195 municipalities. The total investment reached $357 billion (CLP), creating an average of 10 months of employment for more than 11,700 people.
