Extension Course - Green Infrastructure - NbS for Urban Water Management

Extension Course - Green Infrastructure - NbS for Urban Water Management
Online Extension Course - Universidade Livre Oswaldo Cruz

Through theoretical content, technical guidelines, and a practical exercise, the course aims to establish the foundations that will enable students and professionals to develop Green Infrastructure projects.

Green Infrastructure is a landscape planning and design method based on creating a network of multifunctional blue-green landscapes (vegetation and water systems). It consists of natural landscapes and spaces treated with Nature-Based Solutions (NbS)—such as rain gardens and constructed wetlands—that improve existing infrastructure by adapting it to natural processes to support ecosystem services.
