Conceived and organized by CICOP.Net Italy (Centro Internazionale per la Conservazione del Patrimonio Architettonico), the 5th edition of the Biennial of Architectural and Urban Restoration – BRAU is scheduled for April and May 2021.
An international and interdisciplinary cultural event held since 2011, BRAU serves as an institutionalized forum for ongoing assessment. On an international scale, it is dedicated to diverse design experiences in the fields of knowledge, enhancement, and architectural restoration, as well as the reorganization of existing cities.
In 2021, BRAU5 is taking place as a traveling congress via videoconferences held in various countries, with the opening on April 15 and programming extending until May 6. Titled "The Charm of Decadence" (previously selected in 2019), the Biennial includes Italy and all CICOP.Net partner countries: Cyprus, France, Brazil, Egypt, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Syria, and Greece. In Brazil, BRAU5 is coordinated and organized by architect and urban planner Maria Rita Amoroso, president of the national delegation of CICOP.Net Brazil.
