This year, the 13th International NUTAU 2020 Seminar, scheduled for November, will be held entirely online. The central theme, “Valorization of Urban Forestry Waste,” seeks to discuss its potential for research and projects within its fields of activity.
This choice is grounded in the recognition of the importance of urban forestry for cities, for both environmental and aesthetic reasons. It provides numerous benefits to local conditions by purifying the air, reducing noise, making urban soil more permeable, mitigating the formation of “heat islands,” and protecting wildlife; additionally, it promotes significant effects on landscaping, creating greater scenic beauty, shaded areas, and environments for rest and contemplation.
