On Friday, September 25, the discussion "Citizen Initiatives: A Proposal for Lima 2035" will be held.
The panel will feature Marina Vella, Architect and Urban Planner; Gonzalo Villarán, Co-Founder of TUMI Genomics; and Soroush Parsa, PhD, Lead Innovation Scientist at the International Potato Center (CIP). Together, we will explore a novel, comprehensive vision for Lima proposed by a citizen initiative led by the International Potato Center (CIP), which has been selected by the Rockefeller Foundation to evaluate its implementation. The proposal is competing for a global prize for food system visions in cities, aiming to transform the city into a regenerative, food-producing oasis, much like the one Francisco Pizarro encountered 500 years ago.
