URBANBATfest is a festival that functions as a laboratory—or a laboratory that evolves into a festival. It is a research process focused on urban transformations and an environment for learning, experimentation, and collective creation designed to drive urban innovation.
The festival examines urban reality and its inherent conflicts through a multidisciplinary program featuring various formats that enrich debate and case studies, while providing methodologies, references, and participatory tools.
Titled NO FUTURE, this edition opens a space to discuss the responsibility of architecture and urbanism within our current context of multidimensional crisis, exploring their complicity and forms of resistance, their possibilities and limitations, their working tools and methodologies, their relationship with other disciplines, their areas of intervention, and their capacity to create new imaginaries... And, ultimately, how to cohabit the present and the future.
