Cinecubo IAB: São Paulo Anonymous Cinema

CineCubo is the film club hosted by the Institute of Architects of Brazil (IAB) with the goal of fostering dialogue between audiovisual and architectural languages and debating perspectives on the city. On the third Tuesday of every month at 7:30 PM, CineCubo screens films followed by a discussion at the IAB-SP headquarters. Curated and moderated by Nana Maiolini, Travessia Filmes, and guests, the sessions are free and open to the general public.

Short Film Session: São Paulo Anonymous Cinema
The session stems from questions posed by our guest curators, João Campos and Rodrigo Sá, regarding the independent film scene in São Paulo. Is it possible to speak of a "Paulista" cinema? The curators, who recently organized the São Paulo Anonymous Cinema exhibition (at Cine Humberto Mauro in Belo Horizonte and at the CCSP), have selected four short films that fuel the debate on the São Paulo metropolis as both a site of production and a subject for young independent filmmakers.
