Aiming to create a network of educators connected to global education trends, the "HUB: Connections for the Future of Education" conference will bring together education professionals on June 7th and 8th at Exc.Rio in the Jockey Club of Rio de Janeiro—a vibrant space for major gatherings with an inspiring view. Now in its second edition, the event has established itself on the annual calendar of major industry meetings and reinforces its identity as part of a movement to transform education through inspiring experiences.
Topics that increasingly impact daily classroom life in Brazil and around the world—whether in the pursuit of building innovative educational environments or introducing content that develops competencies considered in the National Common Curricular Base (BNCC)—are on the lecture schedule. Architecture, neuroscience, bilingualism, psychology, game-based learning, socio-emotional education, media literacy, and active methodologies, among other major areas, will be addressed by experts, always from the perspective of their application in basic education.
Dynamic activities will fill the breaks. Two of these will be led by Pamela Zanatta, a representative of the non-profit organization Art of Living and president of the International Association for Human Values in Mexico. These will be demonstrations of breathing and meditation techniques, following the method used by the YES! Program in Mexican schools. These practices are applied to help teachers, students, and families promote a culture of peace in schools and deal positively with stress. Furthermore, these tools improve learning and create more harmonious spaces.
