Portobello, a leader in ceramic tile retail, is hosting the third and largest edition of its Archtrends Summit content forum through its trends and reference platform, Archtrends, on March 9 and 10. The event takes place in parallel with Expo Revestir and will feature prominent figures in design, architecture, and other creative fields. It will be held at Um Rooftop, a new event space designed by architect Ruy Ohtake.
This edition introduces several new features. The event will span two days of national and international lectures focused on innovation and architecture. It will also be open to the general public, with limited spots and an expected attendance of over 3,000 people. Previously, the event was held over a single day and was exclusive to franchisees and architecture and design professionals from the Portobello Shop relationship program. On-site, attendees will also be able to get an up-close look at the Portobello large-format slab (lastras) concept, the brand's biggest innovation of the year.
The program features roundtables with architect and urban planner Paulo Mendes da Rocha and his daughter Naná Mendes da Rocha on "Architecture and Design – A Symbiosis of Generations"; with Jader Almeida and Antonio Bernardo on "Personalization, Creative Process, and the Value of Design"; and with Marcelo Rosenbaum, Itamácio dos Santos, and Rodrigo Ambrosio on "Design as a Tool for Social Transformation," all moderated by Casa Vogue editorial director Taissa Buescu.
