The second session of the 2022/23 Elisava Masters’ Talks, a lecture series organized by Elisava, Barcelona School of Design and Engineering, will focus on the evolution of technology over the last 20 years and its impact on the work of the Dutch studio Moniker. Luna Maurer, interaction designer and multimedia design artist, co-founder and co-director of Moniker alongside Roel Wouters, will delve into the new perspective on technology currently being developed by the Amsterdam-based studio.
In the "Designing Friction" lecture, Maurer will share her experience and insights into how technology has influenced Moniker’s practice in recent years. Furthermore, she will present the studio’s latest projects and its current perspective on how technology has changed over this period, how the web has evolved, how it affects capitalization, and how screens have become a fundamental extension of our identity. This is an opportunity for the audience to learn more about Moniker’s work and how they have approached the use of technology in their art and design.
