“Up Close and From Within: A Neighborhood Mapping Workshop” will be a practical working group focused on the collective research and analysis of the territory surrounding the IABsp.
Using research methods developed by the Micrópolis collective, participants will produce maps that reveal invisible and subjective layers of the territory, overlaying them onto formal and official cartographic bases to enable complex and plural readings of the space. Beyond urban planning diagnostics aimed at identifying urban problems, the maps developed in this workshop seek to identify potential and pre-existing collaborative networks within the territory as resources for understanding and transforming spaces. The resulting studies will be co-authored by Micrópolis and the workshop participants and will be published on the collective's website.
