The exhibition closing out the 2022 year at Casa das Artes – Porto opens on November 5 at 3:30 PM.
Inspired by Willis Conover’s introduction of the Miles Davis sextet at the 1958 Newport Jazz Festival—"in Duke Ellington's conception, it's not the instrument being played that makes the difference, but the man playing it"—the exhibition SO WHAT [three architects, three discourses] brings together architects Diogo Aguiar, Dulcineia Santos, and Nuno Melo Sousa. The exhibition aims to illuminate the conceptual foundations of their respective architectural discourses, evoking the restlessness and continuous experimentation of the legendary trumpeter.
